Book Review: You and Me, Always by Jill Mansell

‘It wasn’t real life, obviously. Not real real life, because that would never allow such a neat storyline with all the loose ends tied up.’

In the words of the lady herself. Jill Mansell always creates beautiful books with beautiful endings and all the loose ends tied up. That’s what makes her novels so wonderfully enjoyable. Entertaining and satisfying there are always loveable characters and You and Me, Always is no different.

There’s always an element of sadness to her novels whether it’s a death or a bad breakup but instead of putting a dampener on it this only serves to make you root for the characters even harder and enjoy their happy endings even more. I particularly enjoyed a tiny update on some characters from one of her older novels as well it was great to see how they were getting on!

Jill’s books always lift my spirits if I’ve had a bad day at work, relationship woes or any other troubles her books make me believe that there are happy endings out there for everyone!
